What to Expect
Dr. Rao respects the important role she will play in your oral and overall health. She wants your first visit to begin with getting to know each other and building a trusting relationship. Dr. Rao will want to know why you came to our office – are you in pain; do you need treatment; do you want a checkup and cleaning? She wants to know about your dental and health history and what you don’t like about dental visits, your smile, and your health. Your first visit will be a time to ask questions and evaluate the answers. You should feel comfortable and relaxed with our team.
Next, Dr. Rao will examine your entire mouth. She’ll look at your teeth, your bite, and your existing dental work. In addition, she will check for any problems with your gums, cheeks, tongue, and palate. X-rays might be taken, as well. These will aid Dr. Rao in determining the best dental treatment plan for you.
Near the end of our visit, our front office will talk with you about treatment and scheduling. We will work with you the best we can to make sure your needs are met. Next, we’ll get your next visit scheduled and answer any last questions. Never hesitate to call us when you get home if you’ve forgotten to ask us something.
Forms
We provide forms on our website to make your first visit efficient. You won’t have to worry about coming in and filling out mounds of paperwork before you see Dr. Rao.
In order to read these forms, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. The software is free, fast, and easy to install. Just click on the Adobe link on this page. Then print the forms and you fill them out at home. Bring the forms to your visit, and we’ll register you promptly. If you have any issues downloading or printing these files, call Dr. Rao’s office. You can complete the forms when you arrive, but please show up about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Alternately, we can mail the forms to your home.
